• New Evidence for Noah’s Flood: HT: Sermon Audio
A team of researchers from Tel Aviv University and the non-profit research and education organisation, EcoOcean has claimed to have found a site off the coast of Turkey whether [sic] the great flood of Noah, as described in the Bible, took place.
• Christian Products and Services a $4.5 Billion Industry:
According to statistics released earlier this summer, religious books were the publishing industry’s fastest-growing category last year, with Bible sales alone exceeding 25 million copies. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg for the $4.5 billion Christian products industry, which runs the gamut from books and videos to toys, games and, now, even insurance.
• Pastor Sexually Abused by . . . Another Pastor: HT: MMI
A high-profile pastor from Kanawha County says he’s one of the sexual assault victims of another pastor. . . . Pastor Mike Lewis of the New Life Center in Cedar Grove sent a letter to local media outlets Tuesday night. In the letter, he says he was one of the victims of Sandy Martin Cook more than ten years ago when he was a teenager.
• Saltwater: A New Source of Fuel:
A gentleman from Erie named John Kanzius made a somewhat “shocking” discovery while he was working on a radio-wave generator he had developed for the treatment of cancer. While attempting to desalinate sea water using radio frequencies, he noticed flashes, and within a few days, had saltwater burning in a test-tube as if it were a candle.
