Bullet Points 08/29/07
Here are today’s bullet points:
• 185,674 People Attend Festival of Hope: See also here.
US evangelist Franklin Graham made history this past weekend by attracting a crowd of 185,674 people to the Festival of Hope—the largest evangelical event in Ecuador’s history.
• Jesus’ Face Appears on Fence: There’s been another Jesus sighting (cf. this previous sighting)—this time on a fence (HT: MMI)
Emily West was doing some meditating over the weekend in her sister’s backyard in central Lodi when something caught her eye.
“I looked up and saw the face of Christ in the fence and I said, “Whoa,” West said.
She called her sister Ana over to ask what she saw. She too agreed, it was the Son of God.
• Time Machine Getting Closer to Reality?: This seems pretty far-fetched to me.
Possibly the first practical model of a time machine proposed by Professor Amos Ori from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, may prove to be the first step towards a construction of a mechanism that will allow time travel into the past.
• Helmsley Leaves $12 Million to Her Dog: See also here.
Leona Helmsley’s dog will continue to live an opulent life, and then be buried alongside her in a mausoleum. But two of Helmsley’s grandchildren got nothing from the late luxury hotelier and real estate billionaire’s estate.
