Bullet Points 08/22/07
I’m going to try to start posting at the end of each day a handful of links to interesting articles or other miscellaneous things that perhaps don’t warrant a dedicated post.
Here are today’s bullet points, in no particular order:
• Modern-Day Abraham: Abraham fathered Isaac when he was 100 years old (Gen 21:5). Nanu Ram Jogi has just fathered his 21st child at the age of 90.
The world’s oldest father has done it again, fathering a child for at least the 21st time, at the age of 90.
Indian farmer Nanu Ram Jogi, who is married to his fourth wife, boasts he does not want to stop, and plans to continue producing children until he is 100.
• Another False Christ: Jesus warned that false christs would arise (Mat 24:24). David Shayler believes that he is the Son of God.
“I am the messiah and hold the secret of eternal life,” he starts excitedly. “It all came about quite suddenly.
“First I started meditating, then I learnt how to channel the “light”, and the more research I did—into Freemasonry, the Knights Templar, Kabbalah—the more convinced I became that I was the Christ.”
• Creating Artificial Life: Scientists claim that they will be creating artificial life in 3–10 years. (HT: TitusONENine)
Around the world, a handful of scientists are trying to create life from scratch and they’re getting closer. Experts expect an announcement within three to 10 years from someone in the now little-known field of “wet artificial life.”
• Elvis Does Special Music: Elvis performs “How Great Thou Art” at Spring Creek Church.
Also, in case you missed them, here are the other posts from today:
